Itinerary
Firmly grip your handlebars because this itinerary leaves the city and takes you to its most “noble” treasures. This comfortable stretch takes around 20 minutes and, prior to arriving in Venaria, passes close to the Allianz Stadium, home to Juventus. Here you can stop and visit the stadium and the Juventus company museum.
A few kilometres on and you will see the Palace of Venaria, the Savoy residence of Carlo Emanuele II who used it when he went hunting on the heaths of Turin. In 1997 the Palace was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s well worth visiting the inside as well as the splendid gardens.
Yet more gems are waiting to be discovered in the first belt of the city. These can be reached on your Vespa by crossing the city. Two exemplary masterpieces are:
- the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge (Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi) that the Savoys built in 1700 in order to pass pleasant days hunting.
- The Castle of Moncalieri at the gates of Turin, an imposing manor on the Turin hill where the royals spent their summers.
