It starts from Pollenzo to get to Montà D’Alba which, with its Castle in a privileged position, is the gateway to the Roero. We proceed towards Canale which, in addition to its excellent fruit and vegetable products, is the ideal showcase of Roero red wine with its many historic wine cellars and the Regional Wine Shop.

Continue towards Guarene, whose historic center, dominated by the imposing eighteenth-century castle, is among the richest and most elegant of this territory. It is the turn of Magliano Alfieri, a place of great strategic importance in the past and a fief of the Alfieri family. In his sumptuous castle stayed the young Vittorio who became one of the most important Italian poets and playwrights. We continue towards Govone, whose history has always been deeply linked to its castle that was the Savoy Residence. In a dominant position, it is bordered by hanging gardens and a large English park.

Our circular route finally leads us to Cisterna d’Asti, a village of ancient origin that closes the ridge of the Rocche del Roero. The name of the village derives from a large cistern kept under the floor of the central hall of the Castle.
