This underground gem, around 40 metres deep, has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These are the “Underground Cathedrals” of Canelli which can be reached on your Vespa in just over 40 minutes. Before arriving in Canelli, and therefore, in the area of Asti, you must stop at Barbaresco and Neive. Here, on your Vespa you cross the vineyards where Barbaresco wine another territorial excellence was established. You can also meet the producers and taste the vintages of this wine. Then, go to Canelli on your Vespa and finally visit the Underground Cathedrals. These are historic exposed brick cellars that stretch underground over around 5 thousand square metres at a depth of about 40 metres where the temperature is always 14°. Tunnels and large vaults carved out of the tuff make this a unique and stunning place to visit. Finally, return on your Vespa to Alba passing through Santo Stefano Belbo and Mango, the homeland of Moscato.
Go below the surface and everything visible: do down into the depths of the earth. There you will discover the treasures of the Underground Cathedrals before returning to your Vespa to discover Barbaresco and Moscato!
