As soon as you arrive, you'll be welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere, made of picturesque alleyways, lively squares and breathtaking views over the Roman countryside. Full of historic villas, its heart beats around the majestic Villa Aldobrandini, a Renaissance villa with manicured gardens and frescoes that tell centuries of art and culture.

Stop 2: Castel Gandolfo

The route continues toward Castel Gandolfo, a wonderful village overlooking the stunning Lake Albano. The latter boasts a rich history closely linked to the papal presence: for centuries it was the summer residence of the Popes. The heart of the village is dominated by the majestic Apostolic Palace, an imposing building that today also serves as a museum: you'll admire not only the richly decorated interiors, but also the famous Pontifical Gardens.

Get back on your Vespa and head toward Lake Albano, where a spectacular panorama awaits you. This body of water of volcanic origin nestled among the gentle hills of the Alban Hills is surrounded by lush vegetation made of oak and pine forests. Its calm waters are perfect for activities like kayaking, pedal boats and sailing. Next, reach the nearby Lazio Volcano: you'll cross a fascinating territory, where extinct craters and gentle hills create a natural landscape of great charm.

Ariccia is a lively town in the Alban Hills, rich in popular traditions and authentic flavors. Famous throughout Italy for its gastronomic symbol: IGP porchetta, celebrated every year with festivals and fairs.
