Once you arrive at Oriente Rent Friuli, you'll be ready to start your Friulian Vespa itinerary! You'll depart from San Pier d'Isonzo: a small village nestled among the countryside, where time seems to flow slowly between rows of vines and fields of wheat. An authentic place, far from the chaos, where nature and local culture meet to offer a genuine and relaxing experience.
Head towards Cormòns, known as the "capital of Collio", an enchanting Friulian town at the foot of the majestic Monte Quarin and just steps from the Slovenian border. Famous for its great white wines, Habsburg atmosphere and gentle hills, it finds its dimension in slow, food and wine, and cultural tourism.
In the heart of the Friulian Collio, an area famous for its vineyards and hilly landscape, you'll find the Plessiva Area. The latter is especially known for the Plessiva Woods: a green lung rich with centuries-old oaks, tall robinias and chestnuts, offering an evocative atmosphere immersed in nature. One of the region's most renowned wine-growing areas is its Plessiva border crossing, which connects Italy to Slovenia crossing through the Collio. Let yourself be cradled by the gentle curves of its roads and admire the green panorama surrounding you.
Ride to Prepotto, a charming and tiny hillside village, known as the home of Schioppettino wine. The latter combines unspoiled nature, excellent wine-making traditions and a rich historical and spiritual heritage.
In fact, here you'll have the chance to enjoy an excellent tasting at "la Viarte", a renowned winery. The experience includes a visit to the cellar and tasting of three types of native wines.
Your last stop will be San Floriano del Collio, an enchanting hillside village known as the "land of grapes and cherries". You'll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Julian Alps, the Karst and the Friulian plain. The center is dominated by Formentini Castle, an ancient medieval structure rebuilt after damage from World War I.
Once your tour is finished, return to the starting point to drop off the Vespa in the late afternoon.
