In the morning, pick up your Vespa in Numana, known as the "Queen of the Conero Riviera": an enchanting village in the Marche region nestled in the heart of the Conero Park. It is divided into Numana Alta, the historic center perched overlooking the sea, and Numana Bassa, a modern coastal area famous for its colorful houses, crystal-clear waters, and tourist harbor. A must-see here is definitely the Costarella, a characteristic flower-lined staircase that descends toward the sea.
Reach this enchanting crescent-shaped beach, covered in lush Mediterranean scrub and protected by a semicircular barrier of rocks. From here you can enjoy a splendid view of Mount Conero, and you can walk to the tip of the characteristic small pier on the left side of the beach. Here you'll find the unmissable Urbani Cave: a suggestive natural cavity at the end of the beach, offering shelter from the sun and a unique view of the entire Mount Conero.
Head toward the renowned Portonovo, a famous tourist center and Blue Flag beach, overlooking the bay of the same name in the heart of the Conero Regional Park.
The beach alternates between gravelly and stony sections with very white, rounded limestone pebbles, considered one of the locality's unique features. The presence of woods directly touching the beach, together with the open views toward the majestic mass of the Conero, are a great attraction of the area.
At the southern end of Portonovo, you will find the extensive Vela Beach, where wild nature dominates. This characterizes this part of the coastline, which owes its name to the Sail-shaped rock emerging from the sea. This location is ideal for enjoying the maritime atmosphere surrounding you and relaxing in its regenerating waters.
You will reach Passo del Lupo by riding along a splendid panoramic road on your Vespa, followed by a short walk. This is the most spectacular balcony in the Marche region, a place where the white rock of Mount Conero dives vertically into the intense blue of the Adriatic. Once you reach the Pian Grande viewpoint, the view opens up to the majesty of the Due Sorelle, the two famous white sea stacks emerging from the crystal-clear water, and the entire coast winding southward. It is the perfect stop to take unforgettable photos and breathe the pristine air of the Conero Park.
Sirolo is a splendid medieval village that stands out for its elegance and its spectacular beaches, among the most renowned in the region. The center is characterized by stone alleys, artisan shops, flowered balconies, and a relaxing atmosphere. You will have the chance to enjoy a delicious aperitif featuring local products at Oasi Sirolo, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the landscapes and colors of the Conero.
Return the Vespa by late afternoon at the starting point in Numana.
