What you will discover:

• Imperial Rome between the Colosseum and Imperial Forums, the monumental heart of the ancient city, where temples, arches, and ruins tell the story of the Empire’s power and over two thousand years of history.
• Circus Maximus and the Mouth of Truth, two iconic places of ancient Rome and its legends: from the enormous chariot-racing arena to the celebrated marble mask housed at Santa Maria in Cosmedin.
• The Baroque elegance of Piazza Navona, built on the layout of the ancient Stadium of Domitian and dominated by Bernini’s spectacular Fountain of the Four Rivers.
• Castel Sant’Angelo, overlooking the Tiber, an ancient imperial mausoleum transformed over the centuries into a fortress and papal residence, one of the city’s most spectacular monuments.
• The Gianicolo and the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, where Rome opens up from above in all its beauty: first the sweeping panorama of the city, then the imposing “Fontanone,” one of the hill’s most evocative monumental symbols.
