Discovering the territory of the Langhe and Roero on your Vespa also means being able to distinguish between the various types of wines, the results obtained and their individual characteristics. It all depends on the territory.
On this tour you will leave Alba on your Vespa and head for Castello di Grinzane Cavour where the Barolo Regional Wine Cellar has its premises. Here you and everyone visiting will be met by an amazing heritage for learning about the history, the leading producers and the processing of the Nebbiolo grape. From here go on to Roero, firstly passing from Treiso and, through the vineyards up to Barbaresco. Here, in a deconsecrated church is the Barbaresco Regional Wine Cellar, another wine produced from the Nebbiolo vine. Before returning to Alba, take a break in Canale, the heartland of Roero. Having crossed the Tanaro river, the territory changes as does the wine: although always obtained from the Nebbiolo grape, it has other characteristics. Park your Vespa and then visit Canale and the local producers. You can learn about the history of Roero wine. It is available in red like Barolo but also in other tones.
