In fact, the history of these places is also linked to the exploits of the local noblemen, feudal lords and vassals who constantly challenged each other. All of this is spiced up by a hint of mystery that hovers in the air like a ghost in the castle dungeons.
Ready, set, go! The first stop is the Castle of Roddi. Here you will be met by an imposing medieval manor with two towers. Then, always on your Vespa, you will arrive at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour which is famous because Camillo Benso lived here and also because it is the home of Barolo.
From one castle to the next, let your Vespa take you firstly to Serralunga and then Barolo where the Falletti Municipal Castle, built in 1200, today houses the Wine Museum. Your last stop is the Castle of Novello, at the bottom of the valley: different to the others it is in neo-Gothic style and overlooks the fortress from on high.
